My scanner seems to be working again, so maybe I'll make some new images. I shot this with my old Bronica SA2, and man, do I like the way it looks. I don't mean that there is anything special about the image, but the camera works. Now the photographer must.
Once I stopped at a yard sale (well I always stop at yard sales. I bought the funkiest Saarinen chairs for 10 bucks recently) well once I stopped at a yard sale and there was nothing I was interested in buying from the old guy -- but I caught that he had the prettiest Greek Key design antique cement birdbath in his yard -- so he says to me "Nothing you want to buy?" I said "Only thing I can think of is that bird bath." He said, "If you can dig it out and carry it to your car you can have it."' So I did.
ReplyDeleteI think the photo is rather quite inspiring actually - shimmery water full of leavemold and the unfocusedness of the background. I can almost smell it (yeah I like that rotted leaf smell in fall here). I like it.
Hey is that fish thing a fossil purchased in a box somewhere? I think I have the same one or one very similar -- mine says it is from Brazil.
I think the image is wonderful as well. It is a nice thing to see this morning for me on a grey wet day.
ReplyDeleteI like the shot - it's all mood!
ReplyDeleteGrey, fallish, with a damp, chilly feel to it.
I'm glad that you've got your gear up & running.
sigh...

I think I like this photo much more than I did before. Thanks all.
