Two Ways

I was down yesterday, and busy.  Something's wrong that I don't know will get fixed.

"How did you go broke?"

"Two ways:  First slowly, then quickly."

I can't find the quote, but it is from "The Sun Also Rises," by Ernest Hemingway.  The conversation was about money on the surface, but everyone knew.  Even the speaker.

That is how it happens.  That is how it always happens.

This girl, the one in the picture, hit the Josephine Baker pose when I mentioned the name.

"I need a string of bananas," she said.

I liked that.  That she knew the photo, I mean.
