Panties Collection

Here is a print Red made when she was studying fine arts in college.  It is from a series she made of panties.  When she was a little girl, she said, panties were very important to her.  She had many pairs for every occasion.  I was fascinated by this.  Is such a thing typical?  Do little girls pay that much attention to their panties?  Little boys do.  To girl's panties, I mean.  They try to see them all the time.  There is not much to boy's underwear and I swear I never heard a boy talk about his collection growing up.  I do remember when Benny Ricks showed up in P.E. class wearing his girlfriend's underwear in the ninth grade.  I was in the seventh at the time.  The locker room stopped.  Just quit breathing.  It was the craziest thing we'd ever seen.  Dicey and bold.  But Benny was a bad ass as well as a Don Juan, and so finally came the collective hoot at the demure lover in girl's underwear.  It made a permanent impression on me.

Red told me something about a series of prints that contained text from old books on adolescent sexual development or something like that.  I can't even remember if it was hers or someone else's.  It was a late and weird night when she told me, I think.  It usually was.  But I don't care.  I like the idea and want to steal it.  I need some old texts about sexual development, behavior, and hygiene.  From the fifties, anyway.  If you have such a thing, let me know.  I will know what to do with them.

I can't open many websites today.  Live Journal and Tumblr sites are not showing up at all.  CNN and The Huffington Post are working at a snail's pace.  Either I have a virus on my computer or something is wrong in the world at large.  Which do I prefer to be the case?  Hmm.

Even my own images are loading weirdly.  Does this look normal to you?  It looks more like something from "Metropolis" or "The Jetsons" than it does my work.  Maybe it is the internet everywhere. If it is, someone else will take care of it.  If it is simply a virus on my computer, it will all be on me.  Like I said, these are The Last Days.  End Times, baby.  Prepare yourself if you can.
