Terrible Promise

Oh my.  I am enamored with this image.  Can I do it again, or is it an aberration?  That is what is haunting me.  It is beautiful.  This is what I want the carnival series to look like.  Dark.  Blurry.  Sumptuous.

Posting a naked boy here was apparently a bad idea.  Overwhelmingly people didn't like it.  Or at least that particular picture.

I keep looking at today's picture and imagining other figures in the frame.  Twisted dogs, roaring lions, screaming tigers and whining hyenas, a circus dwarf and a strong man, a tightrope walker in serious danger, a gypsy card reader, a knife thrower and his assistant, a human contortionist, Jo-Jo the Dog Boy and the Bearded Lady in faded, fading images.

I have to remember what I did or all is lost.

I meet up with Red today.  There is a terrible promise in it all.

  1. Hey, you, I liked the photo, you know that.
And I can't wait to see 'a thousand ways to hide genitals'...
Will be a bit harder with the boys I guess...
    :-P
    I like this one, too.
    Much terrible pleasure!

  3. I liked the naked guy... especially looking at him in the context of your oeuvre to date.

The American Impressionist artist sale started today. I think I've got it now. He has made himself a memorable character. The way he dresses, paints his shoes a certain blue/green, the accent and stories -- we sold over 60K of his work in less than 6 hours today -- not bad for a so called shitty economy.

6 more hours of selling tomorrow. Maybe I'll have a good chunk of next years Morocco/Paris trip done if all goes well. And a few good paintings as investment.

    Enjoy your extended weekend...

  5. O.K. I will not give up. I know what I must do.

N, Thanks for the props. Is there any other kind of pleasure?

A, My mother and I used to do this when I was young, but I wasn't standing still.

L, O.K. I will think about getting a "costume" and affecting some of my ways. You think you can sell myself off at a decent price?
