Victory at the Sherry Netherland

I feel much better.  The hives have finally gone away.  I was dopey on my first day back to The Factory, but it worked out O.K.  Now I am just buried by work.  Those of you who thought I was silly all along and that I was simply melodramatic. . . .

So I worked long today and went to the gym in the evening.  After that, I went to Whole Foods to see the freaks and losers who work there.  And then I came home to the cat who was angry at being out all day in the rain.  I showered and heated up the food I had bought and sat down to watch the debate.  But it wasn't on yet, so I flipped through the movie channels and stopped on Broken Flowers.  I love watching Bill Murray do most anything.  When I saw this movie in the theater, I was less impressed, but tonight watching it again, I thought it nearly great.  It is episodic, but the episodes work.  I had forgotten about the scene with Lolita.  Holy Moly!  I wish I'd been recording it.  That scene alone is worth the price of admission.  And the next, too, when he goes to see an old girlfriend who is married to a pre-fab real estate maven.  If you haven't seen it, just watch it.  Twice, if you are like me at all (and I know you hope you aren't.)

Then the debate came on.  I wish I hadn't watched it.  The Liar won.  It was remarkable, really.  Obama was just dreadfully and completely awful.  He didn't do anything right at all.  I wanted to debate Romney myself.  Romney seems easy to me.  But not for Obama.  He just kept getting kicked and kicked and kicked.  Fucking liberals.  I hate them.  Too passive.  Obama needs more balls.

That is my take on it, anyway.  I had to cover my eyes.  The fellow in the picture above is surely happy tonight.  We will all be living in his America.

So. . . here is a soundtrack to things.  It comes from the Broken Flowers soundtrack.  YouTube tells me I shouldn't do this, but for you. . . .
