No Judgement

Originally Published Monday, December 31, 2012

It was not a mistake to shut down the old blog.  I had to.  But it is a shame.  The goddamned thing was big-ish.  Nobody is showing up to this one.  Perhaps it is because I don't put up many nudes.  Q always said that was why people came.  Maybe he was right.  Here's a nude, but I don' think it is going to draw that crowd.  I'm certain there is a target audience for it, though.

I've just finished dinner with my mother and the cat.  We ate and told tales and remembered things differently.  She stayed for a long time and it was all pleasant.  Perhaps we'll do a cruise together this year since she is so into going places now.  I said Alaska.  She seemed to like that.  We could eat elk and wrestle Kodiak bears.  It might be fun.

She told me that one of my hillbilly cousins raises fighting cocks.  Holy shit, I said, let's go up and visit.  There is a story for telling.  She, however, was not so keen on the idea.  She went to one with my father when they first got married, she said.  It was awful.  And when the rooster was ready to die, the handler put his moth to its butt hole and blew in it.  I shook my head violently and said, no, no, they don't.  They blow into their mouths.  They did that, too, she said, they'd take the entire head and put it in their mouths, but they'd blow into their butt holes, too.  What in the hell could that do, I asked?  I don't know, she said, but that is what they did.  I told her that when it looked like she was going, I'd hire someone to blow up her butt to bring her back around.  She didn't think much of the idea.

There is much life all around, but most of it is hidden.  I want to get out and see more of it than I do.

I was listening to Country Club College Radio today on my way to they gym, and they were playing some pretty cool Indian music.  Then a voice came on and began to lecture.  "Judgement is the enemy of creativity," said a man with a heavy Indian accent.  "Tell yourself, 'Today will be a day without judgement.'  When you judge, you put someone in the wrong.  It is the cheapest form of self-defense.  We judge to be right.'"

Man, I got into that.  Experience things without judgement.  That is the way to creativity.

O.K.  That is my message of the day.  I wish you all--all ten of you--a happy Sunday and a better Monday.  Namaste.

Once again, this piece of shit new Blogger won't let me embed a YouTube video.  Or maybe it is YouTube.  I'm sick of it.  You will have to click on the link if you want to hear.
