Who shoots on Sunday mornings after late Saturday nights? I am nervous. It turned cold over night and I haven't put on the heaters at the studio, so it might be chilly. The morning is overcast which is not bringing my spirits up. I want to eat something, but I doubt I'll have time. And of course, there was more in the N.Y. Times than there has been all week. I had to read. Now it is a shower and some. . . .
Wait. A reprieve! The model texted as I was writing asking if she could come half an hour later. "I seem to be glued to my bed," she wrote. I'll have time to eat something, at least.
So. . . a quick story. I went out with my friend last night to a hipster/beer snob bar, the kind where nobody is very good looking. But the beer is really good. We got some of the strong, high alcohol ones that they serve in smaller glasses. Good stuff. And while we were sitting there, a group came up and. . . you can guess. . . started bumping me. There was no need at all as there was plenty of room behind them. They needn't have. I won't bore you but to say it was the same friend as the last time and the same empty look.
This is why I stay home. But let me ask you this. When you go out, do you get bumped a lot? Do people crowd you? Or is it just me? Do I need to learn that it is right and proper for people to bump into me? Am I the miscreant?
Don't ask the last question.
I'm going to make something to eat. It will soon be showtime.
