Picture of an Artist as an Old Man

Regardless (or "irregardless" as my father would say), my emotions are on a fast roller coaster ride.  I went to work very late today and left very early.  I don't know how much longer I can continue to function at the factory.  Or anywhere, for that matter.

It is daunting to want to be in the lead all the time.  You can't stay there forever.  You wear down then out.  Out front, I mean, like Willy Loman.  When a man gets a spot on his tie. . . and they don't return your calls any more. . . .

Willy had the right idea according to his son, Happy--to be the #1 Man.

What breaks Biff is realizing that he's not.

I've never been much of one, though, for a shoeshine and a smile.  Never been a salesman.
