No Poetry But In Things

Sometimes.  Know what I'm saying?  You just tire.  Everything takes too much.  You don't have the mental energy anymore to hold the world together.  You feel you will never make another creative effort.  You think you should have spent your time learning computers, becoming a hacker.  They are making all the money, now.  Well, not all of it.  Bankers still do O.K.  And politicians.  By and large, though, it is just people.  They wear you out.  You tire of thinking about the human condition.  No more anthropology, you think.  Time for zoology or geology.  Maybe physical anthropology would be o.k., but definitely not social.  Objects.  Really, zoology would be too depressing.  Perhaps nothing more than just things.  They might be the place to rest the weary mind and busted spirit.
