Plum Tuckered
I've been trying to write an quasi-analytical piece on parents photographing their children, but it is too complex for me this morning. I have spent over an hour and still am not close to being finished. I had to research some things and way led to way. I was up too late and up too early, and my body and mind are both vibrating. It is time to go back to bed and try to get some early morning sleep. I have a full agenda today and would like to get some if not a lot of it done.
Oh. . . the leather chairs arrived yesterday. I didn't expect to like them, of course. That is just the way of things. And I didn't. The leather is the wrong color, much too light. The chairs look small in the room, too, less stuffed than the ones I put elsewhere to make room. I called Restoration Hardware and told them the chairs were the wrong leather and that I wanted to exchange them. I thought this would be a tremendous hassle and that it would cost me money. I was wrong on both counts. They are making me new chairs (they do not stock them) and will ship them in late February. In the meantime, I can keep the ones they sent.
I am getting used to them after a day, of course. They are pretty. They are fine. I think, though, that I might have bought the larger ones and that they would have fit just fine. But the chairs are comfortable to sit in. I read in one for quite a while yesterday. My fear is that the cat is going to sink her claws into them and then the deal will be null and void, as they say.
In another day or two, I'll probably want to keep the two I have. But I have to say that Restoration Hardware is easy to deal with. Word.
O.K. I'm back to bed. It is another grayish humid day. My bones ache. Sleep. Sleep.
