(CNN) An 18-year-old man and his 13-year-old girlfriend are suspected of stealing three cars -- two with guns inside -- and are the subjects of a law-enforcement search that stretches from Kentucky to Georgia -- and maybe on to Florida.
You know they are criminals just by looking at the picture. They've entered the store through the exit. But there is another story in this sentence that shouldn't go unremarked. They stole three cars, and two of them had guns in them. WTF? Is this the national average? Or is it just an average in the states that stretch from Kentucky to Georgia?
And I'm wondering if Dalton and Cheyenne can still legally get married in Georgia or South Carolina? Maybe. That's not what I'm really wondering.
I have little energy for writing today. There is drinking and there is drinking too much. I think I did the latter last night. Fell asleep hard but woke up tossing and turning and needing water much too early. I feel like poop. I am like a lot of people I know now with nothing but very literal thoughts in my brain. I look around the living room thinking, "chair, book, mail, ball. . . ." It is all I can manage.
But I will cowboy up here soon. The day is damn near perfect, fifty-four and sunny and going up to seventy-two. Maybe a little more rest first, then the day. I have to get started on my screenplay about Dalton and Cheyenne. I want to sell it to one of those Coppola girls. They do such a damn good job with teenage angst.
