Verge

The Oscar nominations are out.  I can't believe that they picked some of the movies I liked this year.  It is not a year of the blockbuster.  What happened?  These are low grossing films, more like festival films than Hollywood Oscar.  I'll have to go back and re-read.  Perhaps I got something wrong.  Next thing you know, they will go back and take the 2004 best actor Oscar from Sean Penn give it to Bill Murray for his performance in"Lost in Translation."

Whatever.  I hate awards.  They are false testaments and should all be abolished.  They should be replaced by true competition with guidelines and rules.  Music awards, writing awards--all of them should be nixed.  They do much more harm than good.  I can testify to that.

I can testify to much.  But not today.  I don't have it in me.  Every single post can't be a writing miracle.  I have one more brutal day at the factory, then a wonderful three day weekend.  I'll be able to watch the European nations fight the Jihadists.  It's a competition not an award ceremony.  What are the Vegas odds on the outcome?  I'll check on it and see.  Meanwhile. . . .

Selah.
